About: Nurtured Therapeutic Space
I value nurturing a relational, safe, and brave space to process hard topics with adults, seniors, and teens.
I value balance, choices, culture, and respect in my work which inclines towards acceptance-commitment, attachment, coping skills education, compassion, polyvagal, and trauma-informed approaches.
Brainspotting certified. EMDR trained.
AANHPI, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ allied. Neurodivergent affirming.
Experience with Kindred Communities:
Aviation. Military service members, veterans, and families: I have experience supporting my family and clients through the highs and lows related to military and aviation work and family lifestyles. Naval Aviation and airlines affiliated. Therapy can be a beneficial place to strengthen our inner tethers as we flex, pivot, and move towards continuously changing destinations across the lifespan.
AANHPI/BIPOC: I identify as a second generation Asian-American with Korean heritage. As a child of immigrants, I have kindred insight into the complex experiences of culturally mixed family generations, patterns of insecure attachment and coping styles, and intergenerational trauma. My clients enjoy not having to spend significant amounts of time in sessions explaining and teaching the provider about their culture. Therapy can be a beneficial place to explore what it can look like to honor cultural roles/responsibilities and individualized identity/growth.
Women: Support for Perinatal/Pregnancy/Post-partum, motherhood, miscarriage, child loss, grief, sexuality, Perimenopause and Menopause related mental health.
Youth & Families: I have over 10 years of experience supporting youth and families who have experienced the complexities of foster care, adoption, blended families, and neurodiversity.
